Salary: £82,949 to £ 115,330 (Depending on experience)
A relocation package of up to £8k is available for eligible candidates.

The role

Reporting to the Director of Children’s Services, you will act as the professional lead on the children, youth, young people and family’s matters across the Council. You will lead the Council’s Strategies and Improvement plans for Children’s Services, commission external services and work closely with partners to  maximise the imput for children of strong integrated working.

With a social work qualification and a registration to practice (with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)), you will have an excellent knowledge of social care, youth and family services and commissioning frameworks and legislation, as well as current and future policy developments within the social care system. You will have substantial experience of leading and developing a successful children’s social care service and a strong record of delivery and improvement of whole system change whilst maintaining high safeguarding standards and understanding of systems to protect vulnerable groups.
